New Year promo notions

Happy New Year.
I hope you have had an excellent Christmas and holiday period. Now you are ready and willing to get back into winning writing ways. Here are some tips which I am using in January and February to promote my two new tips booklets and may be useful to you.

Whatever you do to earn a living you are almost certainly there to offer solutions to the problems of your customers and prospects. In my case, I’m offering to ‘Make writing easier’. My aim this year is become Known as THE Expert.

How will I achieve that? By telling personal stories. I will punctuate my posts on social media – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn – with a constant ‘patter’, and drip-feed the value of my tipsbooklets to readers who are writers, or would-be writers.

This value is based on my long experience as a journalist, editor, copywriter and author.

When I was training as a journalist on a provincial evening paper I was told, in no uncertain terms, that I needed to ditch my fancy university prose, written to impress the dons, and learn to write for a new and exciting audience – local people.

It’s the same for you now. Your audience is most likely to be ‘local people’ unless you have established a business with an international clientele. If you have, good luck to you. But you still need to find a clear, concise international style of business English which is easy to understand.

My marketing team will help me promote my books on social media, and through ads on Facebook, Amazon and traditional media channels.

In due course I will also seek interviews on local radio; seminars, workshops and webinars; podcasts with a writing colleague;

Q & A features on my website , and similar offerings on Twitter.

You can do some similar things to promote your businesses. If you need any help with some promotional writing, please contact me and I promise to give you free advice as a loyal reader. My 1:1 booking link is - https://calendly.com/nick-1173/30min
